Jumaa Al Majid Calls on Philanthropists to Contribute to Beit Al Khair’s Renewed Ramadan Campaign “Haqqun Ma‘loom”

Jumaa Al Majid, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Beit Al Khair Society, has called upon philanthropists, partners, supporters, and benefactors to contribute to the Society’s renewed Ramadan campaign, “Haqqun Ma‘loom,” which achieved significant results over the past two years.
The Society hopes to build on this success in its third edition, which will launch in the month of Rajab and continue until the end of Eid Al Fitr. Below is the full text of the message:

Haqqun Ma‘loom 3

“It gives me—together with my colleagues on the Board of Trustees of Beit Al Khair Society—great pleasure to invite you to support our renewed Ramadan campaign, ‘Haqqun Ma‘loom,’ in its third edition for the year 1447 AH – 2026 AD.
The campaign aims to support and bring relief to more than 65,000 registered beneficiaries in the Society’s database, in addition to others among the most vulnerable, who look forward to your generosity during this blessed season of obedience and mercy. They place their hope in your giving hands to help sustain their livelihoods throughout the holy month.”

Enhancing Social Responsibility

This year’s “Haqqun Ma‘loom” campaign comes as a true embodiment of the Society’s mission to achieve leadership in social responsibility within the UAE, by mobilizing partners, supporters, and benefactors to realize the values of solidarity advocated by Islam, and to strengthen humanitarian growth—a journey to which Beit Al Khair has contributed more than AED 3.1 billion in charitable spending to date.

Year of the Family

In light of the wise leadership’s designation of 2026 as the Year of the Family, aimed at supporting the family as a fundamental pillar and fostering a cohesive and prosperous society, we are pleased to note that Beit Al Khair has been at the forefront of directing the majority of its charitable efforts toward supporting low-income Emirati families, uplifting their livelihoods, and strengthening their stability.

The Society annually leverages its Ramadan campaigns to bring joy to these families during the holy month. For this year’s campaign, Beit Al Khair has set an ambitious target of spending approximately AED 70 million and distributing 1.6 million iftar meals, following the success of the previous year, during which it spent AED 69.5 million and distributed 1,681,398 iftar meals.

This achievement also included the establishment of the largest Ramadan tent ever witnessed in the UAE—the Diamond Tent in Hor Al Anz, Dubai—which provided no fewer than 5,500 iftar meals daily, contributing to honoring and bringing happiness to thousands of Muslim workers who came to participate in the nation’s development and construction projects in this generous country.

Bringing Joy to Beneficiaries

Last year’s campaign succeeded in supporting and bringing relief to 16,187 families. These families received Ramadan food parcels (Meer Ramadan) valued at AED 6.1 million, benefited from Zakat Al Fitr assistance—both in-kind and cash—amounting to AED 1.8 million, and were made happy during Eid through the distribution of Eidiya gifts worth AED 1.4 million.

In addition, the campaign continued to provide monthly cash assistance to low-income Emirati families, with a total value of AED 4.2 million, helping to improve their living conditions and ensure financial stability.

Relieving Hardship for Those in Need

Last year’s campaign was distinguished by its generous humanitarian spending aimed at alleviating distress for thousands of families and individuals facing severe financial hardship. The Society provided emergency assistance totaling AED 35.6 million, and allocated AED 3.1 million to support debt relief cases (Gharemeen)—individuals who had been detained due to their inability to settle financial obligations beyond their means.

Through this support, Beit Al Khair contributed to their release, allowing them to observe the holy month of Ramadan with their families and loved ones, and to share in the joy of Eid with their children.

Appreciation and Gratitude

As we reflect on the countless blessings bestowed upon us, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who have contributed to our ongoing “Haqqun Ma‘loom” campaign. Foremost among them is our first strategic partner, Dubai Islamic Bank, to whose Board of Directors we express our deepest gratitude.

We also convey our heartfelt appreciation to all partners and supporters, and to everyone who has given and donated through Beit Al Khair—whether their contribution was great or small. May Allah accept all that has been offered and place it in the balance of their good deeds.

In Conclusion

We are confident that you will stand with us in our renewed Ramadan campaign, and we place our trust in our valued partners from both the public and private sectors, as well as in our generous benefactors who have always shown unwavering support and noble contributions. Their participation reflects a sincere pursuit of the multiplied rewards of zakat and charity during the blessed month of giving, and a deep sense of social responsibility toward low-income families and the most vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.

Allah Almighty has ordained this duty when He said:
“وَالَّذِينَ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَّعْلُومٌ، لِّلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ”
He then gave glad tidings of a great reward, saying:
“أُولَئِكَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ مُكْرَمُونَ”

May Allah grant us all a place in the gardens of eternal bliss.
