Spending on the “Ilaj” (Treatment) project surged to AED 24,669,557 by the end of the third quarter of 2026, exceeding the project’s spending during the whole of last year and marking an unprecedented leap in the giving of this humanitarian and community project. This is due to the remarkable growth achieved by the humanitarian platforms and radio programmes launched by the Society to raise donations, which are seeing increasing support from generous benefactors and partners in goodness who have not held back their contributions. By the end of September, the spending of these programmes and platforms had reached AED 15,586,894, benefiting 577 patients in dire need of assistance.

The “Haq Maloum” programme on Noor Dubai Radio and TV topped the giving of the humanitarian programmes and platforms, spending AED 6,843,909 by the end of September and benefiting 247 patients. It was followed by the “Mayadeen Al Khair” programme on Quran Kareem Radio, part of the Abu Dhabi Radio Network, which spent AED 4,086,216 by the end of September, benefiting 148 patients, and then the “Zayed Al Khair” programme on Al Oula Radio Network, which spent AED 3,529,653 over the nine months, benefiting 119 patients. In addition, the “Faz’a” humanitarian campaigns spent AED 1,127,116 this year, benefiting 63 patients.

Beit Al Khair’s programmes, broadcast on these national television and radio stations, record humanitarian stories that reflect the spirit of giving and solidarity in UAE society. Perhaps the most notable in September was the story of Turkish child Gokotug Ordu, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy and whose treatment cost exceeded AED 10 million. The Society moved quickly to expedite the support procedures and launched a dedicated link to receive donations. Thanks to the cooperation of benefactors and partners, foremost among them its strategic partner Dubai Islamic Bank, it was able to save the child, whose life was threatened by his incurable illness, in time.
