"Beit Al Khair": Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a Life Rich in Goodness and Giving

Beit Al Khair Society has extended its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him; to the family and relatives of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; to the entire Al Maktoum family; and to the people of the UAE on this loss. The Society prayed that Almighty God envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and forgiveness, grant him a place in His spacious gardens of Paradise, and bless all with patience and solace.
Abdeen Taher Al Awadhi, Director General of Beit Al Khair Society, said: "With the passing of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE has lost one of its devoted sons, a cherished figure known for his love of goodness and giving, and for the authentic values of generosity and benevolence he upheld. May God have mercy on him, he saw giving as a noble human value, a responsibility towards society, and a continuation of a well-established approach in the UAE, one that has made relieving the needy, supporting people, and helping those facing hardship authentic expressions of solidarity and compassion.
As we bid farewell to the honourable deceased, we can only remember his good life with deep appreciation, and pray for mercy upon him for his well-known love of doing good and his keenness that giving should leave a lasting impact on people's lives. We believe that the good a person does does not vanish with their passing; its effects remain in people's hearts, and their deeds continue to bear witness to them. How much we need today to recall these values by which the deceased, may God have mercy on him, lived, and for the goodness he loved and practised to remain an enduring approach in our society, embodying the highest meanings of mercy, solidarity and giving.
We pray to God, the Most High and Almighty, to place the goodness, benevolence and generosity of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, in the balance of his good deeds; to reward him for every hand he helped, every need he helped fulfil, and every good mark he left in the lives of others; and to honour his abode, widen his entry, raise his rank to the highest heights, and grant him the highest level of Paradise. Verily, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return."
